I’ve got a really bad disease. It’s got me begging on my hands and knees.
So take me to emergency, ‘cause something seems to be missing.

NKOTB REVIEW. It's rushed, my bad. I'm so beyond exhausted with all the other shows these past ten days, that I'm really drained and the hard cold reality of going to work this weekend sucks. So I'm going to do the review, it'd be a big huge pic spam and video spam and then call it a day.

I really need to make more of an effort to write in my livejournal. I have been busy, did update [info]girltype_365. I cheat and don't do it daily but every photo taken is taken on THAT date that it's posted on. Got a whole bunch of people together and saw Watchmen again. After that it was a late night run to Taco Bell where we talked about it forever. I love staying out late and just hanging out. I might go see it again, just to soak in all the imagery.

I went out early and went shopping. Picked up 7 more headbands. I also went shopping for uniforms and I have now really come to the point where I need to do something about my gut. I have become so obsessive with lifting weights and getting my arms and back strong again that my backside and bust is nonexistent and my stomach is still there. Ahahaha. I won't candy coat it, I've been wanting to get new uniforms because they have all become so loose on the shoulders they always hang low on my chest and that's not cool. But I still have a gut. The poor saleslady measured me to help me find some stuff and she even said the backside and bust don't match up with my stomach. *sigh* I'm just not keen on cardio. I just love to lift weights. ILOVEIT. What to do..

I got the new Sims Party game for the wii. It's cute but no matter what, no one wants to play with me, let alone let me be the first player because I can't handle the wii remote as well as everyone else and I can tell they get annoyed, so I like to play alone. Even the residents shout that I suck and can't get the cursor on the screen. Any tips? I always think I'm either sitting too close or too far, but everyone else can get it spot on.

My sister saw Slipknot at the Arco Arena a few days ago. She wanted me to share with you her footage. It's a shame her friend is screaming and singing so loud that you can't really hear anything. That place is ruthless they check you EVERYWHERE. I remember when I went there they had me even open all the sections of my wallet to check.

Sooooooooooo bored and not the least bit tired.

EDIT: Just checked ticketmaster for NKOTB tickets. Some good rows are popping up. I managed to get 2nd level Row A. Awww, the joy of not having anyone stand in front of you. Love it and for dirty cheap. Four tickets for 117? Pretty sweet.

boys: gerard smiles classic

I never really noticed just how Jon makes all-things-fierce! The boy sure is photogenic! I'm starting to clean up and organize all my pics on my HD and a handful of Jon pics stood out and I had to share. Yes, it'd be all black and white, it just works better that way. Read more... )
13th-Jan-2009 08:55 am - NKOTB +BOAT + PSYCHOFANS = fail.
books: vc andrews 1

Not for the two grand that everyone is talking about! What the hell, could bandom get anymore fail? Jonas Brothers had this OMG HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT that they said would all be told yesterday and that announcement said nothing really. But NKOTB at the start of the new year had this huge news about late May and they finally said it's a cruise. A CRUISE? Argh! I'm the only fan out there that wants new music?

Now you have to see the video where even they are skeptical about this. But they do keep it real, because even they say 'where will Jon be on those three days?' Ahahaha. That guy will be hiding out, holed up in a room somewhere sleeping. I'm intrigued about 'danny's fitclass' either the guy will be a sweetheart or a nazi. I wonder just how much they are going to regret this. Psycho fans are going to turn up for this. Good luck!

meme: share 9 songs you enjoyed a great deal in 2008. the catch, the songs had to be released in 2008. this is not the BEST of, but most enjoyed songs. i can't imagine any of you telling me THIS is the best song of 08, so i can't do it to you. this wasn't too hard. there was a ton of music released in 2008, that it kept me busy and almost anti-social because i had headphones on the majority of my days. I'm not really big on singles, so the majority of these songs aren't singles (but damn, that should be!) starting from 9 and working my way down to the enjoyed song of 08. all on sendspace.

#9. Endlessly, She Said - AFI
Recorded in 06, released in late 07, didn't get it in my hands until the start of 08. Ahaha. AFI fans are kick ass, they know EVERY SINGLE WORD and that they almost overtake the album and shadow Davey and Co. I love it when fans give 10000% but it almost seems like it's a sing-a-long disc. This is my favorite track and the crowd sings all the right parts and the lyrics with Davey been harsh one second and sweet another. It's almost a love song, if he didn't sound like he wanted to strangle me.

#8. Shelf - Jonas Brothers
Jonas Brothers take a sucker punch to the gut with this song. I loathe people who swear this guys are all happy-go-lucky, they can be dreadful and their lyrics are be a bit too sad, BUT realistic. The world isn't sunshine and smiles. This is where shelf fits in. Sad angsty-teenage lyrics with a taunting "la la la la la" at the end. Boys, skip the girl. She isn't really worth it.

#7. White Trash Circus - Motley Crue
I'm shocked this album didn't go farther since it's a nice little slick production that is a~la SIXX AM, which was all kinds of amazing. Maybe the album played it safe or maybe people just wanted them to stop trying to be classy. I for one, do not think this song is classy as well and me and my friends smirk and think of all the Crue fans who live up to lyrics.

#6. Mother Mary - The Foxboro Hot Tubs
Oh how my heart did flipflops when this and their album was released. It was a mixture of happiness (for new music) and anger for (not NEW music). Ahahha. I'm picky when it comes to Green Day, but it did get them back in the limelights. This song was massive in the Bayarea and even more epic live. But still, no more side projects, let's get back to what really counts.

#5. Prescription - Mindless Self Indulgence.
The album if is perfect. It's snarky, offensive and vulgar. I quote it often and daily, because it's sooooooo stupid and over-the-top that it speaks volumes of truth. Maybe because I work in health care, that prescription really stuck with me. Love this song to pieces, love it. LOVE IT.

#4. This is how I disappear (live) - My Chemical Romance
A bit of a cheat? Song is old, but live version released is new and released in 08. Been collecting bootlegs and recording of their concerts for the last two years, so I was excited to get an real release of live tracks from them. The album of live tracks was a bit of a let down, because G.Way himself, does not have the stamina to carry this.

#3. A little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold.
I'm breaking the rules, this track was released in 07, but it's too good of a song to NOT include it on this list. Take a heavy metal rock band, let them do a show-tune about love where it involved fucking the dead and make it last for eight minutes. When I heard this song, I knew I wanted nothing more than to hear it live to see if a7x could pull off this epic piece and the boys did not disappoint. It's 09 now and this song still takes me by surprise.

#2. Pokerface - Lady Gaga.
It wasn't hard to pick the #2 spot. It was hard not putting more Gaga tracks in the top nine. Pokerface will be the song of 2009. just dance needs to fade away, I have been listening to that since April. It's DONE AND PLAYED OUT. The radio and middle America needs to get the fame in their hands and listen to pokerface. I went to see her four times last year and the last two times I saw her, the crowd was all over this song struggling to sing her parts and the background parts that seem endless. Gaga herself was taken back in SF when the crowd chanted the "Mum mum mum mah" before the track started. Aw, good times.

#1. Twisted - New Kids on the Block.
I'm going to get shit for this? I wanted to download the block before buying it and was mortified by the music, it just didn't stick with me, except for this track, right from the very first listen, i had to sit and get some headphones and just listen and listen and LISTEN. The beats are slick, the lyrics are so painfully hot and Joe Mac carries this song like nothing else. this is the one song I can play at a party and everyone's like "WHO IS THIS!?!??!" and i tell them it's nkotb and they refuse to believe it. a great solid song, where every time i listen to it, it's like i hear something new every time.

EDIT. I just realize I saw every single band on this list LIVE last year, except for AFI because they lazy and haven't done a concert in ages!

Wow. I'm the type of person that loves to go shopping on a Tuesday morning when the world is at work. I almost never get the weekends off but when I do I usually get roped into going out with someone and I dread it because it'd be filled with teenagers and people with strollers. I went to the 'Great Mall' and it wasn't so great on Friday night. I did get my soup fix at the food court where to THIS day (I don't go to the great mall to often) the lady who makes the soup knows me by my hair. She doesn't know my name and I don't know her's but she always comments my hair and this time she snorted "blue. but bald." I was taken back and the woman taunted me "baaaaaaaaaalllllld~~~~" Damn. She's on to me. I probably lost six inches since I've seen her. So I couldn't argue. I sulk and ate my soup and had my friends make fun of how all my friends are old people. I'm down with the 50 year old Korean who makes my soup, she keeps it real.

We went to Dave and Busters, a few of them haven't been there and scoffed at the idea that you really DO need your id to get in the door, so that had to go back to their car to get their ids. I didn't know if you arrive really late they charge at the door. I wouldn't pay to go there. The food is horrrrrrrrrible and the games are so-so. We had milkshakes and I won two plushies. They must have moved the Mario Kart game because I couldn't find it.

I kept texting my ex that night, so everyone saw my wallpaper and wanted to know why I had Christina Aguilera for my wallpaper! FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL. (above image is similar to my wallpaper) so it was ultra fail. How could the gorgeous Gaga be compared to THAT. Again, I sulk. We did shop around the mall and I picked up a few more a7x shirts. I think I'm up to 52 shirts. Comes no where near as close as some of my other band merch collections. There is always this running joke that I would turn down What Not to wear and their creditcard because I could never bear to throw away my band shirts. Too many years, too many tours, too many auctions, fighting, swapping and everything else to not have them in my lives. Again, I take all the wrong shit too seriously.

I started to clean out my room and donated a TON of stuff to my workplace to my peeps. Earrings, headbands, gloves, sunglasses (I srly had 41 pairs of sunglasses in my room. How sad.) and just a ton of stuff that was never touched. I had palettes that I never touched and gave them to a coworker that loves to do makeup on the residents. So I know it's in good hands. My residents will be wearing NARS and Urban Decay. LOLZ. I did go to another mall today and bought two more palettes at Sephora because they were on sale. I hate half the colors but the golds and whites look SOOOOOOOOOOO good. I did buy a new makeup case and attempted to work up the nerve to ask about some brushes but it didn't happen. Next time. We had lunch at the Cheesecake factory today and not only did we get a booth in no wait, but the lady was on all it acting like we were bffs. That almost never happens. I never get this kind of luck.

Annnnnnnnnnd some pics of random Read more... )

I also made some crappy nkotb icons go look and laugh.

EDIT: Who else (and don't LIE) was bidding on THAT nkotb lot. Don't play. Be real. I was just wondering, I hope one of you got it and not some random sock puppet account with no feedback was just jacking up the price and got stuck with it because we all had the shame to stop at around 200.00 I didn't have enough in my paypal to keep going. Ahahaha. on really, I wonder who won.

Ohhoho. Jordan Knight is being all "it's MYSPACE and it's SERIOUS business!" and switches around his status after being all "I loathe the stalkers and the creepers!!" Ahahaha. Jordan, be real. Be like your brother. I wish my sister screencapped it, I knew he was going to switch it quick. Gotta play nice, the mom's bring in the money.

So annnnnyway, there is a group of newkidsmoms (yes, they call themselves that) on this one forum I go to and they go around and totally snub the newbies, bitch about grammar and who can have the biggest sig/banner. I know this because I have a huge screen and I STILL have to scroll side to side. It's borderline wallpaper status. So just so you know, I have no beef with literally nkotb mom's who are fans, it's just CERTAIN nkotb fans who are mom's who are a dick to the new fans that really irk me.

.. I didn't plan on this being a NKOTB post, really. In other news, I saw The Day the Earth stood still and it was horrrrrrrrrible! I cringe, I turned around to look at everyone else to see if they were dying as much as me. I ate large amounts of popcorn because I was bored to tears and I was so embarrassed at myself for thinking Keanu was kinda-sorta-maybe HAWT in this film. Gah! I had to text my ex and tell him:

"I THINK KEANU IS HAWT, I'M THAT HORRIBLE OF A PERSON?!?!!?"
"yes."

.. The man has no faith in me. ^^;;;; I told my coworkers and they swear they told me not to see it. So um, I fail. We have a gift exchange and the person who got me was like, "WHAT THE HELL DO I GET YOU? I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HEADBANDS!?!" So I got a gift card instead. I got someone who wanted medical books, so I easily wanted to share with them one of my favorite medical books of all time. For those not in the healthcare field, it IS a recent book but an awesome read and quote stuff from it all the time. Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present Get it, it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.

Tomorrow I have the day off, so hopefully I get to go to this. But first I need to straighten out my room. My rack that holds my headbands broke off, so I have stacks and stacks all over the room and I easily bought 40 the pass month, so I need to figure out a decent system where I can have them and grab them when I need it. I usually ending up wearing the ones I keep either in the bathroom or in my purse because I'm lazy. I will probably also go all black later next week because for the start of next year, I vow to keep my hair from any bleaching, I want to grow at least four inches before I touch it again. I will buy dreads from triplesix but that isn't until she updates her website. I plan on buying extensions later in Jan. I want to try it and see what happens. It's just pieces range from trash to OMG-ITS-REAL and I want to buy something that will last me. But a ton of places don't want you touching them, you can only look at the packaging. I hope to go to LA where I can wear it and run around with it before I buy it. That'd be fun.

EDIT: he changed it twice already!

EDIT: jordan fuckin' knight is now sending me 32423423 messages. ahahah.

5th-Dec-2008 11:35 am - for the next couple minutes....
books: vc andrews 1

Ahaha. THE NKOTB click-click-click pose in Mexico is crazy-good. I really haven't seen any great footage to come out, but it's only been a few days, so I guess I'll have to sit tight and wait. Donnie in a sombrero. And Joey wore a wrestling mask during Step by Step. So flawless. Can't wait for next year. The bidding for the track jacket continues to grow and I stop bid at 210.00 and I'll wait a few days before I bid highter. Argh, the one thing I want and everyone else wants it. I bought a whole bunch of nkotb dvds coming my way, so there should be a marathon of sorts soon. It'd be funny to see them on the big screen.

My parents are gearing for the holiday's by buying for themselves, first it was the new dishwasher, than the tires for the their cars and now a new washer machine. I wonder why else is going to get dropped off in their driveway. We are actually going to have a pretty tame xmas this year, which means less family is coming around, so it'd be more kick-back. I'm looking forward to it, because I got xmas off but have to go back in the day after, but have the xmas-weekend off. Weird, right? But I can't push my luck, they did give me xmas off last year. (Two years in a row, who gets THAT lucky.) Also to those who have family in convalescent homes, from someone who's entire career has been in acute care. I would like to say sorry. When abuse like this comes out in the media, everyone turns eyes on the rest of us who work in acute care and assume we are all like this. We already had people come and just vent and get all their frustration out at us in our facility. I sometimes run into people in town who know where I work since I stand out (or at least did) with my pink hair and talk about the rumors they hear about our facility. It's so aggravating and discouraging but I can assure you not all homes and facilities are like this.

Ok, I feel better now.

^_^ So tomorrow I will getting to see Lady Gaga again! I can't get enough, I need to meet this woman before the year is up. After that, I will probably attend that Puma Party to see her again on Tuesday. Can't get enough Gaga! The Fame has been so much fun and has been nonstop played on my ipod since late July. I just wish she had better merch, her stuff is kinda lame and ugly. I was expecting better pieces from her! Gaga, I have money and want to blow it on you! Can't you understand this?

Yesterday was a great day, snuck out of work early, went off to the mall in hopes of finding something to wear for the xmas party, the mall was dead with me not actually buying anything expect for new Sephora stuff and the black nail polish of my dreams! But the chessecake factory was at the top of their game with awesome food and after running around and realizing it was late and we would miss Best Buy and get our Sixx AM fix, we had a lousy dinner at Sonics where we laughed about how lame it is. We did make it to best buy but they didn't have the Sixx Am live ep, so we went home and got on itunes and nothing. So I was denied in more ways than you should know, so we called it a night and waited till next time.

Xmas party is coming up, everyone is actually NOT getting along at work with the two new 'hot' (it's not true, they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO lame) guys we hired. Basically everyone is talking shit, and I'm the one that gets called out for talking shit, which makes no sense, because all the shit I said, it was true and I said it to her face, so when I called her on it, she backed away all embarrassed. We are all suppose to sit together at one big table and half of them swear they are going to start drinking before the party and so I just hope in the next week everyone calms down and acts normal again, because this will be one awkward xmas party.
28th-Nov-2008 10:09 pm - NKOTB at the Nokia Theater. (pt 1???)

The Click-click-click pose Joey with his shirt up, Jordan peeing on Donnie. WHUT.

I heard great things about the Nokia theater and looking around their website it looks like this is going to be the LA hotspot filled with shops, entertainment and food. Again, this sounds and looks like a good idea but none of this is going to occur in about a year or so. So basically we came too soon! NKOTB makes up for it, but still Nokia theater outside has nothing going on, except a strict bowling alley with a dress code, but there is parking garages galore and with them all wanting your business, you can park for cheap in LA. Who knew? We skip the 5 and go 110 to get to downtown in no time. It was kinda scary because for it being so dead and empty, there was a concert and a car show going on, on the same block. For a second I thought I had my days wrong. Wouldn't that be ultimate fail? Read more... )
28th-Nov-2008 08:10 pm - SO MUCH STUFF TO DO!!!!

home is home. been back for a few hours, just talking on the phone and soaking in all the voicemails of birthday love. attempted to catch up on lj and gave up. currently looking at and trying to organize my stuff. SO MUCH STUFF. nkotb was epic and crazy-cool. props to jon for putting up my sister and i on the big screen, not once but twice. X_X, freakin' trip to see my sister and go 'wait a minute, i know that... OMGAWDDDDDDDD!!!'. ppl after the show were giving shoutouts left and right. anyway, going to try to do a post later, was planning on playing 'left 4 dead' but alas, it'd have to wait. i leave you with this, my bits and pieces of lady gaga at the nokia:

i sadly had borrowed a camera, since my sister and i wanted to BOTH take pics and the i knew it was a bad sign when the camera that i borrowed wouldn't close the lens after the shut off button. damn. need to really invest. getting a new ipod tomorrow. can't wait for that!!

and the 'grown man' dance moves are so suggestive and so awesome, that i wish i taped the whole thing. good god.
