| Um... hi! *waves slightly* So, this is my first post here. I'm still going back through the archives (cause I'm weird and I do that when I join a relatively new comm) so I haven't read any new stuff or seen any new icons (but I'm really excited to!)... Anyway, (I tend to ramble slightly) I just made this video of Kurt and Puck and since that is what this comm is about, I thought I would post it. It's to the song "Billy Brown" by Mika. Also, I tag this, but I'm not sure what to tag it as... sorry... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe0Pg7Ci-SM- Mood:pessimistic

| 1. We ran a bunch of errands today using my grandparents' car. We weren't able to get started until around three because Carla had class, but traffic wasn't nearly as bad as I'd feared, so it wasn't too bad. 2. We stopped at Book Off while we were out and amazingly they had a manga I'd been looking for! I really had not expected to find this one, as it was six-year-old one-shot by a not-that-big-name author. I'd looked for it before and not found it, but today it was there! 3. Aside from the fact that there's a pile of stuff for charity and a large rocking chair in our hallway, I'm really, really pleased with the house right now. I just need to finish decorating the tree, then I'll take pictures of the newly-rearranged rooms. 4. I think tomorrow for sure I will be ready to start on my yuletide fic! Yesterday and today I spent reviewing the source, but I think I'm done with that now. | |

| I have had an earworm for about a week and a half. I swear it's a real song and it has a female vocalist and the lyrics that I remember are something like:
"And I won't ever cry you a river If I live to be 103"
My google-fu is TOTALLY failing on that one.
Second, I spent the night at some crazy hippie house where the guest bedding was covered in butterfly larva. I was supposed to just sleep with it and have all these larvae all over me. Instead, I tossed the blankets aside and stayed up all night reading cos I was too freaked out.
The book was like, a memoir of some sort and I distinctly remember the authoress talking about how when she was a baby in the crib, her parents put a nativite-scene nightlight in her room ad when she rolled over she wasn't scared of Jesus anymore because she couldn't see him.
Any ideas on either? | |

| I currently have a bunkbed that's rather childish in design, I'd like to replace it with a wire frame bed sort of like this: Not necessarily that, but something curly and fairy-like. Where could I find one for a reasonable price? Also, I have a window in my room that's about 4 and half feet wide and 3ish feet tall, but I'd like to replace the blinds with curtains. Are there any stores that sell smaller sized ones? | |

| My new apartment is hug with a teeny tiny kitchen area.. makes no sense. I'm lacking cabinet space & an adequate dining area where can I purchase a STURDY pub table with 2 to 4 stools? I love this one, but it's too short. - 40' or higher - black or dark expresso - all wood - under 150$$ Show me how you've made your teeny kitchen area work! | |

| Who is the gift for?: Boyfriend of one year, Tiger. What is the occasion?: Christmas, but I also need birthday gift ideas for February. List at least three of their interests: Goth rock, metal, video games, gothic kitschy stuff, dragons, vampires, knives, the like. Any stipulations or things to avoid: He really has enough dragon figurines. And we don't have a lot of surface space for useless stuff. Something BIG would be nice (furniture?). No christmas/religious themed crafts. What kind of crafting do you do?: Painting, paper mache, baking/cooking... I worked in theater tech for many many years so Im good at building things, not so good at drawing. Name some other crafts that you would be willing to try: Anything! :) I love new stuff. Do you have a price range for materials?: Under $100 total would be nice. Do you have a time limit to make this present?: February 10th 2010. If its not done by xmas, it'll just be his birthday gift. Any other information you'd like to include: I want to make something that will last and be useful. I have a sewing machine but I cannot crochet/knit at all. Any ideas would be loveddd. | |

| Waitress in a small cafe in Perth, Australia having recently returned to work after breaking her hand. Hand still in splint but able to do most things.
Dear Lady,
In case it wasn't obvious, I AM WORKING WITH A SEMI-HEALED BROKEN HAND. While I think I'm doing remarkably well given I have limited mobility in my dominant hand (I can lift up two 2Kgs if need be, and nothing in the section I mainly work in weighs more than 1KG), I apologise if I took a fraction longer than I might have otherwise done in counting out your change. Seriously, that was no reason to call me a lazy cow who shouldn't be working as you walked away. (Yes, I heard you.) And I bet you're one of those people who expects the world evolve around you should YOU become injured.
And to the man who wanted his roast beef and gravy roll,
We don't sell them anymore. We took them off the menu. The boss wants to bring in more summery things - sandwhiches, salads etc. I explained this to you. While I think he's a bit daft taking off something that pretty much sells itself, that's his perogative and I can understand that he doesn't want the oven running all hours during FREAKING SUMMER roasting meat. Calling me stupid and my manager retarded is not going to get you your roll. Oh, we've lost a customer? Because someone who calls us stupid and retarded over a $5.50 roll that we don't sell is SO important to us.
(And speaking of gravy - note to customers; while we only have one size/price for chips and gravy listed, if you explain nicely that it's for your child who won't eat it, or you only have x$$ and could you get something smaller, the chances are, I'll scale down the portion/price for you.If you demand straight out for a smaller portion, I will most likely take great pleasure in saying we only have one size/price. Haven't you people learned yet that service staff are much more likely to bend the rules if you're pleasant rather than rude?)
And lastly to the woman who kept yelling at me about how disgusting I was after she saw me making a sandwhich without gloves and I explained I was clocked off and it was for myself,
The manager was totally on my side and will explain it to the boss. If you DO report me to the Health Inspector, and if he DOES follow it up, we will all get a good laugh out of it.
Love,
Me.
Actually, most of my customers have been lovely. There's a group of elderly women regulars who seem to do nothing but patrol the shopping centre each day, and I keep getting one or another of them coming up to me saying 'x said you had come back, it's good to see you again', as well as from others who work in the shopping center. It's nice to know that people noticed I was gone and made an effort to come and say hi. And I had quite a few customers who offered to come and get their food and save me the hassle if I just waved at them when it was ready, and a lot of customers who were patient if I was a bit slow and generally interested in how I hurt my hand. To all YOU customers, I hope you have plenty of family and friends to support you should you sustain a serious injury :p | |

| Rachel True -- who starred as a teenage witch in "The Craft" -- was just granted a temporary restraining order against a woman who claimed she wanted to "f**k [Rachel] with a cobra." Yes, you read that right. Rachel got a restraining order on November 30 -- three days after Elenora Redmon was arrested outside Rachel's house with a "large [sex toy] on her person." Elenora claims she showed up because Rachel had called her over "psychically." According to the TRO request, Elenora has been stalking Rachel for a year and a half, showing up at her house and sending her creepy emails like "Why did you shut your curtains?" -- many of which were sexually explicit. Elenora has been ordered to stay 150 yards away from Rachel at all times -- which should be easy, because she's currently behind bars on $150,000 bail for the sex toy arrest. The TRO hearing is scheduled for December 17th. sourceONTD, have you ever had a stalker? Weird sex requests? Tell us! | |
