My first day back at work and I have been bombarded by the residents and had no time to really talk to or check in on anyone since two people didn't show up to work. So I had my hands full with paperwork and everything else. The boyfriend came over and we attempted to go out to lunch but the place we went to, insisted on them not having bread for their sandwiches and when we pressed the issue they said it was "our fault that we came too late." I'm going to get on yelp and write about it. Major attitude and they walked us out the door as if we were criminals. We're both just straight edge kids who work in health care. Criminals we are far from, we feel too guilty and hate to face any confrontation. We are lame like this, unless we already hate the person or politics then we both become passive aggressive. <s>Again, unhealthy traits. But whatever</s>. So I just sat in my car and held his hand till I got pulled back on the floor. He loved my haircut and when I told him I did it myself he didn't believe me. I took a risk a cut quite a bit. I got in a whole two hours of overtime due to the madness. He did go to bookgoround and found me another Pearl S. Buck book. I have 8 more titles to go before I own all of her written work. I can't wait for that day. Some of you say, go on ebay and buy from there, but that'd be to easy. I have been collecting since the age of six. I like to stumble upon them on a whim or have people and many have give me titles of her work. I have numerous copies of many of her titles. So if any of you people love me, give me one of her books. Help me finish my collection.

Um, anyway. My hair as taken the final beating from the last month and it has now started to break off, and while I can't repair the damage that's been done with the bleaching and the pink, I have started to look around and invested in a handful of different deep conditioners and the best one that I have used that has given me the feel and the look of when my hair wasn't beaten is L Oreal's Natures Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme it was easily the most reasonable and that's what shocked me the most at all around 18.00 for 16oz. It didn't leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy and it didn't smell like chemicals like some of the other stuff did. I deep condition every sunday, so this stuff is going to last me, since it takes less than a full table spoon full to use.

My quest for a Harvey Dent button, continues....

I'm back! <s>and still no review!</s>. Got back around 3 this morning. Uploaded some pics on myspace and video on youtube. Still haven't written down anything except bits and pieces. This is easily going to take all week, but I may just do a list of things that went down. I easily drove 1400 miles the last 3 days. I didn't pay for parking at all three venues (that IS amazing) and visited at least 11 cities I have never been to. Stayed in a shitty hotel where all my stuff smells like smoke, but they let me check in four hours early. Listening to Miley's new album <s>holy hell, it comes out NEXT week.</s> It's good, Fly on the Wall is addictive. But she did a cover of a song I HATE. At the Jonas show, saw people with Jonas!Tattoo's. Wow. This weekend, before I get back to work I have massive cleaning to do and need to make time for Mama Mia and The Dark Knight.

YES! I'm finally off from work for the week! Today was the longest day, EVER at work. I told the residents I would back in a week and I had a few of them swear I always take a vacation. WTH? This pay check had 96 hours and the last one had 102 hours. I basically LIVE at work. It's good that I'm going to have these seven days off. My plan was to get all the errands I need to do before leaving for the Jonas!Roadtrip, like cleaning the bathroom, cleaning my room and throwing out a whole lotta stuff and washing the car, but I did none, but sleep, talk on the phone and listen to more Motley Crue. Argh. By the time I stepped out of my room it was 9pm. So I plan on either staying up real late and getting it done or waking up early to do what I need to do.

OMG. Jonas Brothers in less than two days! (Today/Tonight doesn't count, so what is it? One day to go?) I have so much stuff to do. I barely booked a hotel room for the Sacramento show. Lots of SAC hotel were sold out, and there is nothing in this Wheatland where the venue is, so we are staying in Yuba City. Never been there, never even heard of it, but it was one of the few that had rooms. I have a GPS, that I got for my Dad, he says I can use it, but I just went to google!maps and printed out 34242 pages of directions. I really hope the merch doesn't fail. The setlist, I have avoided but took a peek and I'm so sad that they aren't playing Australia. I had to break it to my sisters that it wasn't being played. I'm kinda upset because I didn't pay to hear Camp Rock songs, I paid to hear Jonas Brother songs. I heard security is all kinds insane and I really hope I get a camera in. I still have no idea what the hell I'm wearing. I'm hoping to re-pink again for the week since I went swimming a few days back. I was planning on doing it today, but sleep and the phone got the best of me.

Before I go any further, me and the bf are back on. ~_~; Only he swore up and down not to mention any of that love stuff. It totally creeps me out. I mean I didn't think we were at THAT level yet. I can't handle that, it's so bizarre. I mean we talked about everything but there was no real urge to rush anything. I just like being with him and I think that's good enough for now. He's older than me, so maybe had other ideas? I didn't think we were exclusive. I did tell him he was guy #14 to say it, but from my perspective guy #7 to MEAN it. I was telling the truth and yet hoping to scare him, but he says he wants to guy #15, 16, 27, 88, and 101. And I told him he already failed because he brought it up. He's awesome, great and massive fun and I wish I bought him to my coworkers monthly parties that we do.

Coworker threw the monthly party, she moved into the same town as the majority of us, which is awesome because before we went out of our way about an hour to her house, so this time she was mere minutes from me. Pretty much the AM crew showed up, and there was massive food, massive pool to swim in and the majority of the people were drinking. I can handle watching the epic fail, but this was EPIC FAIL. A mother/daughter trio work with us, the mother in the other building, the daughter with us. The daughter told her mother she wanted to move out at the end of the year, the mother can't handle that, and so to prevent her from leaving, is holding her dog hostage (the dog showed up the party). Anyway, The mother was drunk and kept wailing about god and how NO ONE loves you, expect for dogs and granddaughters. Oh god. She latched on to anyone and cried and kept swearing to us that everyone will use you, leave you but your dog. ~_~;;;; I made a comment as to how my dog doesn't like me as much as he use to, so it isn't true, and she threw her dog at me. WTF. The dog weights like 3 lbs. The daughter has a fit, the Mother is now sitting on another coworkers boyfriends lap and while this going on, two other coworkers are doing karaoke FULL blast and massive headache. So after they leave, everyone sits and tries out the karaoke. I love doing that stuff, if I know the words. If I don't, I suck. So I did in order:

#1. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (Yes, let's pick the hardest song ever, to do for the first try.) #2. New Kids on the Block - Step by Step (So freakin' easy.), #3. Micheal Jackson's Thriller (Everyone was spazzing at how diff. the lyrics are to what they THINK they are.) #4. Queen - I was Born to love you (OMG, best Queen song, ever.) I also did a duet of A whole new World because everyone in the room was like "YOU LIKE DISNEY AND YOU GOTTA BE THE DUDE. Argh. My coworkers were so wasted that when ever there is a break in the song with no lyrics, the ad from where the machine was bought would show up, so everyone would sing that part and swear it was part of the song. It was http://www.english-tech.com I went on google to see if it existed, but nothing shows up. No one really knew how to say "http://" they just went straight to blahlblahblah DOT COM!!

Besides all that, manged to read The Memory's Keepers Daughter in a few hours and that was the most over hyped piece of trash I have read. Oh hell, everyone was swearing by this book all last two years and I avoided but got bored and picked it up. Avoid it guys, maybe if you never worked in the health industry this may be shocking to you. But otherwise, skip it.

Trying to get through work these past few days have been MURDER. Time seems to go so slowly, and I'm either way to rushed or bored stiff with paperwork. There is no in between. It's murder. Plus there is new policy at work to play 'age appropriate' music at work. And since the residents are up in the 90's, it's mostly big band or country. And that WOULD be cool, but every day, every hour. Damn. It's a drag. I miss playing 80's metal glam with a whole lotta Micheal Jackson throw in for good measure. Just last week, we played three Queen albums and I got away with it.

I'm telling you, it was red and brown before. I think maybe the pool was killing my hair, since my color has never faded/bleed that much before. I went to Sally's and picked up goods, since everything in my city was closed yesterday. Used 30 vol and left it in for close to an hour. That's the longest I left it in. No burning or pain, but I did wash and let it rest for this morning. Woke up around 7AM and started to color it, took about a whole hour, since I retouched the bottom layer for fun. Washed it and watched my tub turn BRIGHT pink. (I always fear it's going to stain the tub.) And now, YAY. When I get three weeks off in August. I'm SO temped to do the whole head. My work is fine with the pink but I don't know if I'm going to push my luck with the whole head.
My Dad and I had a really great day today. After work, we hanged out, went shopping and out to lunch. He told me a secret, I told him a secret and we both laugh at how LAMMMMMMMMME and TAMMMMMMMEEEEEE our secrets are, but still, it's a secret. He's awesome and cool and we listen to Sublime on the way home and we both knew all the words.

I finally got The Black Parade is Dead! in the mail two days back. I got Bob's mask. I'm not thrilled, but it's better than Mikey's. I haven't watch it yet and barely getting the live music put on my ipod, I totally lack the time these days. But tonight, I will watch and get back to you on it. Yesterday, I went and experienced Warhammer and the crazies at Gameshop (???). O_o;;; After that, there was a massive Rockband Battle and some Puzzle Fighter action. Plus my Uncle NEVER calls a woman ugly, but he did call this ONE girl ugly and it was amusing, because I hated that bitch and he wasn't aware of how I felt about her and how she hates me.. (So, that was funny.) Anyway, at the mall, I added more to my OPI collection with three more colors. I was very close to buying white. (One day, one day..) But I got talked out of it. I got one sister into Queen and the other into Dorama's. We shall see where this leads up.

Work had fireworks for the residents. Three years back, a residents clothes and blanket caught on fire, so I sure hope nothing happens to them. Everyone in the building watched Independence Day. All the residents LOVE Will Smith. They refer to him as 'The Prince' (LOLZZZZ.) So yeah, I saw the film three times. I could quote that stuff if you asked me to.

Currently have a headful of bleach, really pushing my luck with leaving it on this long. Redoing the sides and hope to get it bright and not so red. Ugh, I didn't realize just HOW ugly it was. Wish me luck!~ Pics soon!

Dear Vanessa ______

Thank you for shopping with WARNER BROS. / NONESUCH.

Your order confirmation number is ______.

We have shipped your order for the following:
=======================================================
QTY Item
1 The Black Parade is Dead! Limited Edition Package *
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE // CD/DVD

.. Me thinks I should check my email more often. I totally didn't realize that it's July in a few days!! I figure this day would never come since The Black Parade is Dead! is pushed back every few weeks. So um. THREE DAYS? That's if I get my package on the first, if not I'll go buy another copy at the store since I can't wait. ;sfkd;lsfkdls;!. I'm so proud of myself that I avoided the billion clips they posted on youtube. Expect a review, that no one on my friends list will read. Again, what else is new?

So totally, went to work, killed self, got ready, and took setsuna16 out for his birthday. It seems like it's always his birthday when I see him, but whatever. Next year, I'm going to make the point of just giving him a card and see if he really rips it up and throws it in my face. We drove to Milpitas that didn't take as long as I could have liked. We made a wrong exit and got stuck in streets with a super sweeeeeeeet looking ethnic marketplace and bakery. I really wished I stopped. I'm temped to go back, check it out and review it for yelp. But gas prices are preventing me from doing this. So we get to the Great Mall. Haven't been there in ages. It's HUGE.

We look around and stop and see all these cute jewelry/accessories places, but everything looks SO cheap, so I have to pass it up. I did buy three of the ugliest, but OMG, they are going to be epic headbands. This brings me up to almost 40 headbands that I bought so far this month. Good times. We get to Dave and Busters, it's freakin' HUGE and packed. We get seated really quickly and our food is made just as fast. I tell you, it's microwave food, but it was decent. They were playing Miley Cyrus, while we ate and all is forgiven. (Later on I hear Jonas Brothers being played.)

We play, there is close to no oldschool-2d, and if there was, it was out of order. We stalk the crane machine games and I win two plushies and snag an extra that no one picked up. Gizmo immediately took them from me when I got home. My dog currently has two toy chests and will start up a third soon, since everyone is annoyed with all of his toys on the floor. After playing a bit, we finish the rest of mall. More accessories places and if I did want to go into the bigger stores, I could see a line a mile away, so I knew better than to go in. *sigh* We go back in and play some more, played this crazy Mario Cart game that took our pics. We wanted to play this quiz game but I swear there was this one crowd living at the game. Next time. NEXT TIME.

So um, if I don't write tomorrow.. Happy Birthday setsuna16, here's to hoping you learn how to drive soon! <s>I love you, but next year you are just getting a card!</s>

Now if you excuse, I got to get in another listen of Saints of Los Angeles and need to be at work at 5:30am tomorrow. ~_~.

Just wanted Nikki and Mick on here, so I can see them when I come to livejournal. I had the bf meet me after work, because he had to work later tonight. So we got in three good listens. White Trash Circus is the most fun song on the album and easily the shortest. Grr. I really want to hear this one live in Aug. The Animal In Me is one of the best and could easily be a future single but a CERTAIN SOMEONE had to ruin it. Mf Of The Year when leaked online, I avoided because I thought it was going to be really lame, and lyrically, IT IS, but the drums and bass are so strong. I'd kill to get the vocals off. .. Speaking of vocals, Vince Neil would be my favorite member if he wasn't such a sleaze. Mick Mars is my favorite since he is going through so much with his diagnosis and he is still rocking out and living life to the fullest AND he's going to hit 60 in three years. Insane. I have the album for download, ripped from my own disc, here it is if you want it. I haven't watched the DVD that came with it, the bf said he'll be back tonight but my leg hurts far to much for a late night visit.

I'm really unhappy with the bleaching done on the sides of my head, my pink looks more red in the light then the pink I have on the bottom layer and I'm considering making the jump and bleaching myself. Thuy, my hair stylist will beat me for this, but it's something I want to try just to say that I tried. Ahaha. Make sense? I want to grab my friend P and get more bleaching practice but she is gone for the week. This is the best place for Punky Colors. It's the cheapest and fastest shipping. (I gotta remember that link.)

The Discovery Channel is all that the residents watch at work and so, to get them do therapy, this needs to be on and at full blast, where they can't hear me, but it gets them to do the therapy. So I see a lot of these shows. Cash Cab is pure addiction. I love it more than anything else when someone gets in the cab and they KNOW it's the Cash Cab before the lights go off. Or when they refuse. Everyone there screams they have a warrant for their arrest when they don't want to be on camera. Anyway, the residents are currently in love with this clip. It's the jingle they use in their commercials. And it has the guy from Cash Cab and even the dudes from the Deadliest Catch. I had to bookmark the youtube link so the residents can watch it whenever they want. Yes people, youtube is in your nursing home, being used by your elderly loved ones. Epic.

Oh yeah, Target was still giving out rainchecks from the new cd. Sold out, again. Who knew?

I can't wait to get a hold of him tomorrow and just listen and listen and listen and over analyze everything. We were already on the phone for an hour having a heart attack. Sadly my most favorite song on the disc has been tainted. Nikki Sixx, HOW COULD YOU!?!?

PS - In other news, why do I have this urge to buy TAI merch? I want to go to Mountain View, who wants to go with me? My sister is flying out to Arizona, THAT day.

So far myspace is letting me put up videos, so here you go one of many:
warped tour cobra starship sf
<lj-embed id="42" />

Ok, anyway. Warped Tour. I was iffy on going because Pier 30/32 isn't a great venue. It isn't even a venue at all, it's this huge pier/parking lot and while I've never been there, the pics online don't paint a pretty picture. But I had to see Cobra Starship. I liked their albums but never seen them live, and I always felt you really can't say you LOVE a band if you haven't seen them live. So I wanted to go and see if they measured up to the disc and the sound that they have. After driving close to almost two hours and walking to the bart station, taking bart, walking an additional mile, we get to the venue.

It's a little after 11 and you could hear the bands already playing. We get in line, they search us. Everyone is screaming at us to put our camera's away, to not even bring them in, but thankfully my idea worked, they would be to preoccupied with the water bottle in my bag to see if it's sealed to even look at my camera in my other bag pocket. So I get in and proceed to take pics of the line up so I won't forget.

HUGE PICS UNDER THE CUT. CLICK WITH CAUTION!!!!!

THE LINE UP. O_O.

And a few cellphone pics of the line up, so I won't forget:

After we get in, we look around and try to determine where all these stages are. - - Oh I'm lying, I make a beeline to the Cobra merch. I just had to see if they offer something new. I was floored. I was happy. The merch was epic.

I didn't get a pic of the two other shirts. One was white with the lyrics and another was black which looked all kinds of fun, but it has Justin Timberlake on it. Argh! But anyway, look at that jacket/hoodie. It's ugly and yet so fierce. I had to buy it. I was thinking should I but two? I got the whole band to sign it, but more of that later. So I buy out of fear it'd sell out, so I carry it around with me all day long. ~_~. That's love, yo.

So anyway, we go see who is starting and it's j* time, so we head on over. I really wanted to see if he did have a live band and how it was going to work out. Note, j* all up on my business.

He even had this Ashlee Simpson look-a-like, (before surgery.) on backup. WAIT FOR IT:

I spy miss e, in the back.

After that we look around to figure out just where everything is. Poor Emily. The subject to all my pics. At this point I lose the people I went with, figure they didn't want to stay or j*, so I didn't see them again till pre-cobra time.

We go see Katy Perry's set. She's ready to bust out of that dress. I kept that un-resized for you all. Ahahah. In the background Travis McCoy (from gym class hero's watched her whole set.)

If you look towards the back you can see him.

After that, I did film a bit of her set, but sadly myspace keeps timing out, so either there will be another post, or I'll edit this one with video's later. Her set was great. 'Hot and Cold' would be a great next single. I just feel for that dress, she was so CLOSE to pop out that I had my camera ready for any lolz.

After this we score the area for merch and sit for a bit.

Time is going by way to fast. We listen to Say Anything in the background while having lunch and now we plan our Cobra Starship time and get in front of a empty stage that's just setting up for 30 minutes. So we are waiting, two people are in front of us. It's already the hottest part of the day. We watch 'Against me!' and that crowd was insane. I love crazy crowds and everyone knew the words. So I was in awe, so much that I paided attention and didn't take any pics. I soaking it all in. ~_~;;;

After that the set ends and they set up for Cobra Starship. Longest 30 minutes of my LIFE.
During all this I spy the band on the sidelines.

(no resizing, sorry.)

THE ALEX

THE GABE (I know, wth is he wearing..)

You can see Ryland

No Nate or Vicky. I saw them but couldn't take a picture to save my life. So the set starts and there is EPIC lolz. Watch the guy in the red shirt. (I sadly had to cut this from 90mb to a small 10mb to get youtube to upload this. I sure hope it goes through. I have like their whole set in bits and pieces and it's a shame I can't upload for people to watch. Edit: guy in the red shirt, got jumped. Wow.

lolz to cs intro set
<lj-embed id="43" />

Here is some Paparazzi for your time.
warped tour cobra starship
<lj-embed id="44" />

Um, they played The City is a War, Church of Hot Addition, Paparazzi, Guilty Pleasure, Bring it and um.. I can't recall, did I get them all? For 30 minutes, it sure went quick. The crowd was dead on Paparazzi and Gabe gave a lovely shout out to all the latina's in the crowd. The fool just kept on waving and grinning the crowd. ~_~;; I was two people from the barricade and had my camera up the whole time, there was a few of blurry pics. Sorry about that, but here are some favs. I didn't retouch or tag any, so let's do the honor system and don't claim as your own. I have like a GB of pics, might zip them and throw them up on megaupload soon.

I leaving during Guilty Pleasure to get to their booth to go to their signing. Me and my sister split up but later we meet up in line. The line is HUGE and their set isn't even over yet. Worst yet, Cobra's booth is smack in the middle of this tiny corner, next three other popular booths, were one is already doing a signing. It is chaos. There is no real line and massive cutting. I as in line at about 5:30 and didn't get to see them until close to 7:40. It is insane and impressive that they waited so long and tried to do everyone. I had at least 200+ people in front of me and a good 400+ in back of me, but the majority of the people didn't stick around behind me. I like the reason the line took so long, besides the cutters who that people were buying the merch at the same time to get them to sign it.

See the guy with the blue hat, he's the security guard and was screaming at everyone to put the camera's away. I saw him rip people out of the line when he saw camera's but I kept mind out. I figure, I didn't cut, I waited in line like everyone else, maybe faith would be on my side.

SO CLOSE. This is, I swear to you another 20+ minute wait.

ALEX. So close. So far. So worth it.

Alex: I went into this band not knowing much about the members, but that all the chicks online talk so much about his hawtness. This fool knows he is hot. When it was my turn, the three people in front of me had their stuff signed and was waiting for Vicky, so he popped his head out of of tent, looked at me. Asked me for my name, I'm talking about how great the set was. This guy plays with the buttons of his shirt, undoes them and back up again, smiles at me and waves his pen. "I have a pen, you want me to sign." He signs my jacket/hoodie, looks back up and smiles, confirms my name, gets real close like inches away and smiles. I can't help but look at the buttons on his shirt. Here is Alex again with my sister, I had to stand and watch in awe since Nate gave me or no one else the time of day.

Nate: I was a little worried when it came to Nate. I watched people before me and he said nothing to them. I cringe. Would I have to talk. I easily spent 5+ minutes gawking Alex, what the hell was I going to say to this guy? No words are exchanged in fact Vicky looks on and waves me to her. He signs my jacket/hoodie and I go on. Nothing. Wow.

Vicky: All smiles. I cringe, so much people talk so much shit about this girl online and there isn't anything really bad I could say about Vicky. She's real nice, she shakes me hand, comments on how sunburned I'm. She signs my hoodie and again stops, makes eyecontact and smiles again. Mind you, this is 2+ hours of this signing business and she treats me like I'm the first person in line. I want to take a pic but the guy who screams about no cameras is right on top of me to move me along. But I have no where to move since Ryland is with a fan at the moment. Vicky talks yesterday's show and how everyone's been so nice. I tell her people online are hostile and make fun of her looks. I THINK she thinks I'm making fun of her, so I have to backtrack and start again. I tell her the pics don't do her justice and that they should be proud to see of female hold her own with the band. Srly guys. Gabe is in LOVE with this chick, he pretty much gave her a 10 minute shoutout on stage and she could easily have him but she don't play it that way. She gets mad props.

Ryland: OMG. Nicest one of he bunch. I thank him for waiting so long, he thanks me for waiting so long, we exchange hello's, thank yous, how are yous and everything else until he stops me and demands to know what happen to my eyeglasses. I point him in the chest and tell him it happen during his set and he points me back and laughs. OMG, totally adore this guy. He's mad cute and he tells me about the set up and the problem at Pomona yesterday. He says he loves the merch and hopes to see me in it. And at this point Gabe is left with no one, so I gotta say goodbye.

Gabe: I know a lot of people give him shit, a lot of people want him back with Midtown, but the man is having so much fun doing his Cobra thing, don't knock him down. I heard a few fans in front of him tell him he should be back with Midtown. He didn't like that one bit. So anyway, he takes me by the hand and I'm already dead going into this, because Gabe Saporta has some of the best hands I have seen in years. He wants to let go, I don't let go, I think HE thinks he I want a hug, so he pulls me in but I pull away. Ahahaha. I already screw up on this. He stops smiles at me, repeats my name, and I'm dead again. I thank him for acknowledging his latina fanbase and Gabe stops, looks at me and gets giddy and attempts to shake my hand again. He's rambling about latina's and how great we are, I'm rambling about Paparazzi live. He signs my jacket/hoodie and thanks me again. So worth it. SO WORTH IT. I have got to do this again in Mountain View.

Gabe and my sister. Note scary 'no-camera-guy' on the right of this pic. I figure what line can he pull me out of? Thankfully he didn't notice the flash.

Here is what their sig's look like:

And they signed my sister's tour program:

THE END? I should add more. Maybe later. But overrall Warped Tour was SO worth it. Even tho' I missed the Horrorpops set.

EDIT: Bring it, with Travis McCoy and William Beckett. Note all the crowd surfers. People went insane when those two showed up.

cobra beckett and travis
<lj-embed id="45" />

I somehow got roped into hanging out with my Mother today. I actually didn't have a car on me, my sister took it because it had a full tank. ^^;;; So I walked to work and back. (Don't get my started on work, it was a brutal 12 hours.) So I run into my Mom who is driving around, I did see her three times before I got home.. She insists on hanging out. I figure, what harm could this do? We listen to no music on the way there and back. She wants to talk. O_O. About work, about the kidney's and my stupid limp and dumb gossip and ONTD. (Yeah, my mom reads ONTD..) So we talk, and as soon as where we get to where she wants to go, she ditches me and I can't find her for a good hour. So I walk around and text 3423423 people because I'm bored. I did stumble upon George Romero's new DEAD dvd, (it is FINALLY in my hands.) So I'm thrilled about that.

We go to a ton of stores. She spends a GOOD hour at Game Stop. I want to DIE. I went to Sally's and bought curlers since the bf and I have plans to curl our hair. Don't ask, DON'T ASK. I currently have a head of curlers on thanks to him. It's painful and this will either be epic or ugly. I'm lending towards ugly, but he insists this will be awesome. Later we'll watch the DEAD dvd in a bit. Anyway, at sally's there is at least 320439423 types to choose from. I buy these old school curlers where it's big, plastic but comes with a pretty sweet clip that really does hold them in place. I have about 12 different sizes on my head, so we shall see how this turns up. I may take pics of this fail tomorrow morning. I plan on sleeping with them in, since these aren't those heating curlers, just plain ol' curlers. Edit: check out the curls. I did cut out my face, because none of you need to see my face first thing in the morning. I loved the curls. It was a great idea.

I went to buy some chocolate turnovers on the way home and was flipping out that they had two already made. Every time I go to buy these chocolate turnovers, there is only one, so I tell the guy over the counter my little story and he looks smug as fuck because here's fattie asking him for two, and he goes and breaks my heart and tells me he only has one since it's the mirror's reflection that I'm seeing. *weep* So I take my one turnover and somehow got on the phone and left it at the restaurant. So, no turnover for me.

Also, who was twitter? So I can add you? I know usagiko, miwa and a few others had one so I added you guys.

SO I DON'T FORGET: http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/330227

All the residents were freaking out, causing one to tip over in the wheelchair and thus causing a domino effect. (just kidding, but one did tip out of their wheelchair.) So yes, this was the highlight of their week, with them screaming for animal control. LOLZ. I <3333 my residents.

A Fushigi Yuugi marathon occurred yesterday. My sister was bothering me for ages on getting it on dvd since we owned it back when Tomodachi Anime did the fansubs and even owned the VHS when pioneer released it. Looking at at this vhs's it really kills me that I did spent close to 25.00 USD+ on a single vhs. So last week I bought the first boxset to it on dvd (along with Fruits Basket) and we watched 14 episodes in a single day. That is insane, esp. for me. It was such a pain to sit and stare at the tv for so long with me rotating from seat to seat. I went from the sofa, kitchen dinning room chairs, floor, to even bringing down the chair I use for the computer. But the music and the series is so addictive. My younger sister has never seen the show, she messed the whole fansub-vhs days when we would watch an insane amount of shoujo. I really want to get Hana Yori Dango on dvd but it's possible to find and I don't want crappy bootlegs.

I like to think shoujo has a positive effect on my sister, who was so high strung, emotionally retarded and just so dramatic. (I know, shoujo? Wait for it.) We watched a ton of shoujo the last few months, rewatched the entire Marmalade Boy, Kodomo no Omocha, Hime-Chan no ribon, Sailor Moon S, and such on.. I think it gives her some sort of release or at least keeps her mind off all the other angst her bf/friends bring to her. No really, she's somewhat stable and it's super sweet to not see her bawling and throwing the hysterics. Now she just seems to bawl whenever Miaka and Tamahome have a snag in their little relationship. (and THAT happens a lot in Fushigi Yuugi. Hahaha.) I feel like it's the early 90's again.

I just wish she would get into Urusei Yatsura. I have yet to find another soul in RL that is into the show. My boxset's sure get lonely. That series just never gets any credit these days.

Whatthehell!?! I didn't mean for this to turn into an anime post. I haven't watched anime in years. The last (new) series that I followed was Gundam SEED and then I dropped it midway to rewatched Zeta, since I figure if I was going to put time into Gundam, I figure I should do it right. Plus Kamille is a dream come true. He is my favorite gundam protagonist and as a boy, he's spot on perfect.

In other news before I leave. Warped in a week. COBRA IN A WEEK. ~gabe~ in a weeek... And the bf is set to be here any minute, we are going to go throw on a stack of glam metal cds and make fun of it and read out load out favorite pieces of 'the dirt' and just hold hands. XDDDDDDD. I love holding hands. I love holding hands. I love holding hands. I love holding hands...

Life is Good. IN A WEEK. COBRA/GABE/CAMPROCK

Another resident passed away last friday. We all really liked the resident, I know the majority of my coworkers did NOT like the husband at I but I really liked him a great deal and consider him my friend. He and his daughters are the polar opposites of other families. He would always remember our names, acknowledge our existence and always took the time to listen to our suggestions or concerns. While other families wouldn't remember our names, often discard anything I had to say since I was the 'young one' and even watched us like hawks when ever we provided meds or did treatments. So I'm sad to lose not only a great resident, but a great family that really was a part of our team.

There was a bit of a issue when one of the aids came and insisted their was an issue. The nurse at the time, I wasn't the nurse on that hall, didn't make an effort to get up or take a look and ignored her, it wasn't until a few hours later after I went to do some treatments, she is severely contracted and since I've worked with her I was unable to straighten her limbs, but yet her she was lying with her arms at her sides. Can you imagine the freak out, the aids freak out, the nurse who did close to nothing spies the husband pull up and she runs outside to give 'her side of the story'. I hate that bitch. A good five hours later and she makes the call. The husband is upset, his daughter is bawling and that stupid bitch is telling them to 'chill out'. Of course none of us can get a hold of the palliative nurses we have on staff (we have two.) I know one of them hangs out at the gym, because I see her there all the time and I'm *THIS* close to just driving to the gym to see if she's in. But everyone forbids me to do anything since at the time she isn't MY resident.

With details I can't get into because of HIPPA, she dies. Husbands takes it well, I haven't seen the daughter. Now this is where things get kinda strained. My two closets buddies at work really don't like the husband and freak out when he gets frustrated with his wife, he isn't abusive at all, I don't think so, it's just pure frustration, he is with her every day for six hours at a time and because of her pain she really trash talks him constantly. So when he gets frustrated he does stomp around but he gets away from her and totally beats up himself, never her and yet the two buddies of mine have reported him numerous times since the time she's been in the home and has been asked to not come and visit her and even the police have gotten involved. That really killed him and his family that there were people in the building, people who he felt were his family as well would turn on him. Never once did I tell him who did, but he knew I knew, but there is a saying at work 'the minute you tell on someone, everyone tells on you.' So I just don't say anything.

So you can imagine just how LIVID I was when these two totally suck up to him and his family at how great he was with her and how they wish they knew would have reported him and gave him such a hard time earlier this year. Oh yeah, I was livid. I couldn't even say anything to them, in fact later when we were all talking about it, I made a comment at how devoted he was to her and how I wished if I were that lucky, I would have a husband who would be a mere 25% of what he was to her. In a nursing home, spouses vanish, children aren't involved and everyone's an only child since siblings don't take the time to visit. So it's a big deal to see someone come every day and not only visit, but take the time to feed her both meals and interact with her and the staff. He was involved and I always told him just how endearing he was to watch him be with his wife, and how much of a part of the team he was. He called to ask me come to the funeral on thursday, so when I went to ask for time off, I got shot down. And yet the two coworkers who totally gave him trouble are going. I'll have some flowers sent over there and a copy of this photo I had the husband take of the crew while we were sitting in the dinning room. He was totally into that photo, since I made copies and bought it in a few rooms, telling everyone he took the photo. Figure he should have a copy, I think he would like that.

I was thinking I should do a top 10 of 'things that occur in a nursing home that you didn't think would occur' because you all would either be amused or fearful for the day you put your parents in one.

In other news I'm going to pray that 08/12 is the real deal.

Phantom of the Opera Covers. (Guess who spent all weekend watching musicals?) Hn. I always loved POTO, but I loved all the covers that is available out there. My favorite is Iron Maiden's live verison. (I have those for download but they are in acc format.) Anyone have any covers they want to share? Sarah Brightman and Steve Harley
<lj-embed id="36" />

Phantom of the Opera is Sarah's song. There is no doubt, she brings the genuine innocence that takes the song to a whole new level. But sadly this video is flawed by Steve Harley's take of the Phantom. Oh he is VERY cringe-worthy, but Sarah is far too brilliant to pass up.

2. Iron Maiden

<lj-embed id="37" />

Who would have thought wicked guitar rifts and the vocals! Growls that turn 'Phantom' into a really awesome live heavy metal track. I would have killed to see this live.

3. Nightwish.

<lj-embed id="38" />

I don't love Nightwish and hate female singers, but this is such LOLZ worthy cover with all those dreadful goths who totally hype up this band and check at 27 seconds in for tears. Ahahaaa. But it is a awesome cover to have on your ipod. But the guy (I'm not THAT familiar with the band) does a great job, this Phantom is raw, gritty and scary as fuck.

4. Sarah Brightman and Antonio Banderas.

<lj-embed id="39" />

Yeah, Antonio. WTF. WTFFFFFFF. At first I was skeptical. Antonio is really good eyecandy, but can the man bring it, let alone on stage with Sarah. I was taken back and was pleasantly surprised. Antonio carried his own and made this very enjoyable.

5. Zhu Hua and Kris Phillips

<lj-embed id="40" />

I always felt Korean music video's take it to the next level, all epic, filled with hype and a tad bit of creepiness/cringe-worthy moments. But this is a chinese cover. So I'm a bit sadden, really looking hard for a Korean video, if there is one out there. Epic it is, and also a tad silly. But I'm all for international covers. (That and Kris Phillips is major eyecandy.)

6. Sophia.

<lj-embed id="41" />

Kids. Kids are cute. This is cute. It'd be even cuter with a little boy phantom.

I stress over stupid stuff. I went right after work and paid my traffic ticket at the court house, got info for online traffic school, went home and did the online stuff, passed and now it's all done and finished in less than two hours. Of course, I'm out 210.00 dollars, but still. It's done and I don't have to streesssss. Now I get to go to bookgoround with the coolest guy I know and it'd be fun. Like I have money to buy books, but whatever... We got the audio disc for the Heroin Diaries, so we'll listen to that on the way up and attempt to hold hands. Jesus. I shouldn't be so happy for tomorrow. I sound like such a girl.

<33333333333. So easy. SO EASY. !!!!!!!!!

I do get the LOLZ from my statement with "People vs. Vanessa..." Gods, it's such serious business. When you go into the court house they treat you like a criminal. Everyone glared and someone asked to search my purse. You'd think I'd live in East LA or something for that kind of hostility.. And when you are all done with the online traffic school they give you a "$5.00 coupon for next time". NO LIE. There isn't going to be a next time, but knowing my luck, all won't be great and good for long. I can only do one day at a time!
